TWO points. Firstly, it seems that John Robson thinks we are not suffering enough. He complains the Evening Press is not prioritising events "on the other side of the Atlantic".
Good! The national media feed us far too much transatlantic news as though it were our own, and the Evening Press is a local paper.
I have the BBC for my world news, and value the Press's coverage of the little things that touch all our daily lives. You must tell me where you get your hair shirts from, John!
Secondly, on the parking debate. Some camper-van owning friends, who are members of the Camping and Caravanning Club, told me a piece of inside info they discovered recently.
On a visit to York, despite staying at a B&B, they booked themselves a pitch on the Terry Avenue campsite to park their van. It was cheaper than paying for a car park.
Have any other city- centre dwellers thought of hiring out their ResPark passes and driveways?
Or it that just me?
