I WAS pleased to see on the readers' letters page that there are like-minded people who feel deeply concerned about the way in which buildings in York and areas of the green belt are being used for the development of housing.
No thought is given to York's heritage and the architecture which is at risk with no attempt by anyone in a position of influence to stop this ruination.
With narrow streets and roads York was not built for the volume of traffic and the pollution caused. The city has great beauty and charm of which we should be proud, but unfortunately the historical connections and ecology are being eroded.
