With division six champions Selby sitting out the final day the focus was divided between the battle for the second promotion place and the struggle to avoid seeking re-election.

The former was won by Londesbrough Park, who beat Hemingbrough.

Dick Salmon took 5-80 and teenage leg-spinner Oliver Barley 1-28 as Hemingbrough were dismissed for 188. George Drury scored 86 as Londesbrough won for the loss of five wickets. Junior leg spinner Joshua Jackson took 3-56 for Hemingbrough.

Bad light ended play in Rowntree's game after 39 overs of the second innings but not before they had gained sufficient points to lift them out of the bottom two.

Tony Thomson made his season's best score of 73 in Rowntree's 211-6 declared after 44 overs. Stillington were 155-6 when the light became too bad to continue.

Cawood slipped back into the bottom two when they lost by three wickets at Wilberfoss.
