Royal Indulgence, a beaten favourite at Folkestone last time out, is napped to recover losses at Pontefract tomorrow.

The four-year-old, who joined Mark Brisbourne this season, made a successful debut for his new handler at Ayr last month when coming from last to first to lose his maiden certificate at his 18th attempt.

Royal Indulgence was sent off the 3-1 market-leader to follow-up at Folkestone 12 days ago, but, after a tardy start, was always playing catch-up.

He got on to the heels of the leaders a furlong out, but could then find nothing extra and had to settle for fourth-place, beaten less than two lengths.

Tomorrow's betfair.com Apprentice Series offers him the chance to make amends and he should certainly be treated with respect.

Corrib Eclipse catches the eye in the £15,000 Phil Bull Trophy over two-and-a-quarter miles.

The five-year-old won the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, underlining his staying powers. Set some stiff tasks since then, Corrib Eclipse can concede weight all-round here on his favourite fast ground.

Up at Ayr, I fancy Trojan Flight in the All New Audi6 Handicap over five furlongs.

The three-year-old, trained by Lynda Ramsden, has won two of his last three starts and was an unlucky loser of the other, at Ripon, where he failed to find a clear run in time.

Trojan Flight, who produced a sparkling turn of foot to score at Redcar on his latest start, will be hard to beat under Robert Winston.

Artistic Style can complete a hat-trick of wins by landing the Audi A3 Handicap.

Trained at Norton by Brian Ellison, the four-year-old is a difficult customer at home, often refusing to go up the gallops.

But there is little wrong with his attitude on the racecourse, as he proved when following-up a Nottingham win with a gritty success at Newcastle last month.

Stable-apprentice Tom Eaves gets on well with him and can gain another success.

Alfonso can triumph for Lambourn trainer Barry Hills in the Audi A8 Classic Handicap. Hills' horses have hit form lately after a spell in the doldrums.

Gelded during the summer, Alfonso just failed to peg back My Paris at Newmarket on his recent comeback outing.
