AFTER reading the in the Evening Press (September 8), I had to write to say what a wonderful job the nursing staff do on the Special Care Baby Unit.
My twin daughters, Lucy and Amy, were in the unit in November 1998 having been transferred from St James' Hospital, Leeds, where they were born on October 20 weighing 2lb 8oz each.
I cannot express how grateful I am for the dedication, love and tenderness of all the staff who care for the babies in the unit, it is out of this world.
I had all the worry of caring for two tiny babies who were very poorly when first born. The staff were excellent in keeping me updated with their progress and showed me how to care for my daughters.
Lucy and Amy are now healthy and active girls who are enjoying their second year at primary school.
