North Yorkshire apprentice jockey Danny Tudhope, who has enjoyed an excellent season, gets the chance to shine again at Catterick tomorrow.
The teenager, who is attached to Declan Carroll's Warthill stable, has already reduced his riding allowance from 7lb to 5lb this term and has also won himself a working holiday in the United States this winter, courtesy of clinching the Pontefract Apprentice Series.
Tomorrow, he teams-up with Loughlorien in the Derbyshire Apprentice Handicap and I fancy this recent winner to oblige again.
Formerly trained by Richard Fahey, Loughlorien is now with Ronnie Barr, for whom he scored in grand style at Carlisle last month, with Tudhope on board.
That victory was gained over five furlongs, but the step back up to six furlongs tomorrow will not bother Loughlorien, a previous winner over course and distance.
He is napped to provide the promising Tudhope with another winner.
Cutlass Gaudy will not be without his share of supporters in division one of the Lancashire Maiden Stakes over five furlongs.
Reg Hollinshead's youngster ran a blinder in a hot race at Beverley last time to chase home the high-class Sharplaw Star. Cutlass Gaudy started at 100-1 that day. He will be nowhere near those odds tomorrow, reverting to maiden company.
Ego Trip, a winner at Thirsk last time, gets the opportunity to follow-up in the Nottinghamshire Handicap over the same distance of a mile and a half.
Trained by Mick Easterby for Elvington owners Ken and Judith Hodgson, Ego Trip will again be partnered by Dale Gibson, who conjured a one-length success out of the three-year-old last month.
Sessay, trained by David Nicholls, can fulfill the promise of some recent efforts in handicap company in division one of the Cumbria Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
