AS PART of its planned expansion programme, construction services group Parkland has restructured its board of directors and moved into prestigious new head offices near Selby.

The new board comprises Brook Nolson as managing director; Steve Moorhouse, production director; Robert Barwick-Ward, marketing directo; and Dave Shipley, non-executive chairman.

All are based at the company's newly-opened offices in Brackenholme Business Park in Hull Road.

Mr Nolson previously held senior positions at Balfour Beatty, Willmott Dixon Construction and Bluestone Construction.

He said: "We're offering 80 per cent of the total package of services required in any build project from our own resources and this is proving to be a major positive factor for clients.

"Where specific services are sub-contracted we have established single source partnerships. The construction industry's often sporadic use of subcontractors has created a bad reputation within the industry associated with delays, financial implications and general unreliability.

"Parkland's ability to provide a full construction solutions package eradicates these problems and clients are already finding that using one contractor to complete several functions is both efficient and cost effective."

Parkland was founded in Goole in 1967 and now has more than 100 employees in a business with a roofing and cladding division, mechanical and electrical departments, and a range of building functions including refurbishment and new build work.

Parkland also has a well-established protective safety equipment retail department that services many of the leading power stations and businesses throughout Yorkshire.

Clients include NationalPower, CrodaChemicals, ABP, Interserve Building Projects, GriffithsLaboratories, Drax Power, Redcats, Willmott Dixon, HMPrisons, Sure Start, Baird Menswear, British Sugar and the local authorities of East Riding of Yorkshire, Doncaster Council, North Lincolnshire & Selby.
