I URGE residents to vote for children's play ideas on the York Ward Committee ballots.
The Fishergate schemes list has 15 ideas from families following consultations at Cemetery Road Play area and at the Millennium Bridge.
Young people wanted outdoor leisure days, visits from the youth URBIE bus, as well as new outdoor play equipment including a roundabout and a netball hoop.
Holgate Ward ballot includes suggestions such as York Playspace mobile playschemes, a wooden play boat and monkey bars at the Sidings Garden play area.
Children are our future. Please help to make their dreams come true by voting for better outdoor leisure provision. And write down that the York Pride initiative should focus on keeping children's
spaces safe and clean.
If you do not have a voting form contact (01904) 551066 or email kay.hoare@york.gov.uk
To get involved in improving outdoor leisure call me on 01904 654355.
Voting closes on October 22.

Outdoor Play Development Worker,
York Playspace Better Play Project,
Grange St,
