ALL New Earswick Swimming Club's seven competitors at Kingston upon Hull's Graded Open Meet won medals.

In the 50m events, Sarah Welsh took gold in the 15years freestyle and butterfly, silver in the breaststroke, and reached the final of the freestyle skinz swim-off event. Thirteen-year-old Daniel Richards won the 50m breaststroke and was second in the butterfly. Jennifer Welsh, in the same age group, also won the breaststroke to add to her third place in the freestyle.

Sarah Beall won the 14 years backstroke race and Stephanie Gould took the bronze in 50m the breaststroke.

Eleven-year-old Yvette Shaw won her first-ever medal - a silver in the 50m butterfly by improving on her best time by three seconds.

She also set a 4.5 second personal best in the 50m backstroke.

Emily Broadbent, opting for the 100m events in the 15 years age group, won silver in the butterfly and was third in the breaststroke and backstroke.
