WHAT a privilege it was to witness an outstanding team performance of skill and desire by the players of York City Knights against Workington Town last Sunday at Huntington Stadium.
The vocal support that the players have been given recently has been truly amazing and undoubtedly strengthened the resolve of the players to give the fans a big day out.
Congratulations to not only the players but also everyone involved in the club from the ball boys, office staff through to the chief executive and chairman in what truly is a team effort.
Whatever the result this weekend everyone concerned has done the City of York and themselves proud.
The Knights achievements both on and off the pitch in the two years since they were formed should not be underestimated by the public of York.
Everyone concerned will now be focusing their efforts on Sunday's National League Two Grand Final against Halifax.
Now is the time to increase your support, if that's possible. Cheer on the lads, have some fun and be a part of York City Knights and enjoy the day at the Halton stadium, you have all earned it.
Mr and Mrs A Brown,
Lansdowne Terrace,
York.
