FORMER Ampleforth College pupil Dominic Mullen, will be opening Upper 10, a new gentleman's gifts store in High Petergate, York, on Monday.
Gifts will range from stock priced at between £10 and £25 to a £1,650 Sterling silver limited-edition pen from Grand Master, designed to celebrate the House of Monaco,
Dominic, 23, who left Ampleforth College to graduate from the University of Liverpool, worked for a time with Financial Spreads, the financial firm in London, before returning to York to open his new shop.
He said he was driven by a desire to "rescue the men of York from the predictability of another pair of socks or the transient distraction of a cheap-looking gadget".
