IF 2004 has been the year of the rock revival, then 22-20s should be at the forefront of next year's revolution.
This four piece band's debut may be rooted in blues but the White Stripes-style feedback that greets many of the tracks paves the way for a wall of sound - albeit a soulful sound.
The Devil In Me is a great start, with Top 30 single Shoot Your Gun and the recently released 22 Days among the many highlights. Fans of The Hives will quickly realise what 22-20s are about while, for everyone else, there's enough happening to convert the undecided. 22-20s have been a cult import for more than a year. Now it's their time to join the mainstream. A bright future awaits.
