In division two, Shipton moved up to third position with a fine 2-0 win at Nestl Flag thanks to goals from Fratson and West.

A Danny Gray brace helped Acomb WMC to a 3-2 home win over Burnholme (Earswick) and Beech also bagged two as Acomb SC got their first points with a 4-2 win at Haxby Lions.

Fulford moved to the top of division three, Nigel Simpson hitting four in their 7-3 win over Real Way Station for whom Jimmy Parvin scored twice.

Two goals for Croad and one for Walker seemed to have set Hambleton on their way to three points at Bishopthorpe but Broadbent, Manns and Wigley hit back to rescue a point for the home side and preserve their unbeaten start to the season.

A re-taken penalty by Hayes gave CPP the lead at home to Cawood, Knowles scored twice to put the visitors in front until Davie swooped with a late equaliser to grab a point for the home side.
