SIX points, four goals and two clean sheets from their last two games have boosted Scarborough's spirits at the McCain Stadium ahead of the visit of Aldershot (1pm).

The Shots are among the favourites for promotion from the Nationwide Conference but Boro coach Nicky Henry is almost relieved to be playing a team not near the bottom of the table.

He said: "For this sort of game you don't have to lift the players because they know that they will have to be at their best to compete.

"In our last two games we haven't played well but they were more physical battles which have to be won on the day and the players face a different sort of challenge against Aldershot."

Henry welcomes back Mark Hotte after suspension but Keith Gilroy is now missing for a spell, with his injured hamstring.

Tony Hackworth will be pressing for a place in the starting line up after being substitute for the 3-0 win over Northwich on Tuesday night.

Super sub Chris Senior, who came off the bench to score twice in that game, will probably stay on the bench against Aldershot.

Henry said: "He looks so much sharper when he comes on compared to when he starts.

"It is probably because he has no pressure on him, but whatever it is, it is good for the team if he can keep on doing it."
