YORK Race Committee will have no say in the running of Royal Ascot at York next year, it's a case of Royal Ascot rules okay.
Only the carefully vetted and selected will be allowed in the Royal Enclosure: £50 for the grandstand is exorbitant and so is £18 for what used to be, not too long ago, the ten bob ring.
There will be no concessions for us old bods, we must be on the 'not-wanted here' list.
It reeks of nothing short of financial segregation. I say hats off to Her Majesty and dunces hats on for those who stand to be rooked.
Ken Holmes,
Cliffe Common,
