YORK City Knights boss Richard Agar is set to choose his line-up to take on Halifax in Sunday's play-off final from a provisional squad of 18.

Agar is likely to name the same 17 that so convincingly beat Workington in last week's semi-final, plus second-row stalwart Mick Ramsden.

The entire squad will travel over to Widnes tomorrow, 24 hours before the big match kicks off (3pm) at Halton Stadium.

Halifax have stepped up their bid to win the mind games ahead of the final by calling in Hull University sports psychologists Keith Earle and Peter Lynch, who previously helped Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Hunslet to Grand Final triumphs.

Player-coach Anthony Farrell is likely to play despite ongoing shoulder trouble but will be without injured second-row Chris Morley (knee) after he admitted defeat in his bid to be fit for the final. Prop Ryan McDonald is a minor doubt.

The three winners of our competition to scoop a pair of tickets for Sunday's LHF Healthplan National League Finals Day were: GR Curzon, of Stockton Lane, York; Philip Lane, of Burrill Avenue, York; and Phil Archer, of Fifth Avenue, Tang Hall. They all correctly answered that Mark Cain was the player who scored five tries in the play-off semi-final win over Workington.
