IN reply to the letter from Mr and Mrs E Stainsby, "It's not only newts" (October 15).
Many thousands of families are poorly housed in the misery of unsuitable or inadequate housing. They must not be forgotten.
Yes, 64 homes available to the housing list does make a difference to all those who are given the opportunity of a home they need.
Not all are fortunate enough to afford a mortgage and often the housing list is their only option.
