BRING back the birch! That's the only solution to the thug who beat up 20-year-old Askham Bryan student Adam Duxbury, who saw elderly pensioners being intimidated at the bus stop in the Stonebow. When he remonstrated he was punched and suffered a broken nose.
Is this what our society has become, when law-abiding citizens intervene and get beaten up in the process?
It is a sorry state of affairs.
Maybe your photo of Adam in hospital will prick the conscience of the thug and he will give himself up.
My heart goes out to Adam and his family. I hope he recovers well to continue with the rest of his life.
