Into The Shadows, winner of her last two races on the Flat, can carry on in similar vein tomorrow when her attentions are turned to jumping for the first time.

The Keith Reveley-trained mare lines-up for the Subscribe To Racing UK Introductory Novices' Hurdle at Ayr and is my Nap selection to make a winning debut in the hands of jockey Jim Crowley.

A winner at Newcastle last month, Into The Shadows proved herself to be a useful performer on the level when winning a handicap at Newmarket last weekend.

Clearly in excellent form, she looks an exciting recruit to hurdling and I fancy that she can continue her winning run.

Howard Johnson sends a powerful team to Ayr and the County Durham trainer, who provides a danger to Into The Shadows in Coat of Honour, can send out three winners.

Young Scotton goes to post in the opening race, the Highland Spring Novices' Hurdle. This useful gelding will have plenty of support.

Previously trained at Hambleton, near Thirsk, by Kevin Ryan, who won two 'bumper' races with him last season before placing him to finish second at Aintree, Young Scotton subsequently changed hands for big money at Doncaster Sales.

He looks a useful recruit to hurdling and will have Graham Lee in the saddle tomorrow.

Chivalry can also oblige for Johnson and Lee in the Famous Grouse Novices' Chase over two miles.

A former high-class handicapper on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott, Chivalry earned his corn over hurdles last winter and is now set to tackle fences. He could develop into a high-class performer in this sphere.

Kasthari provides Johnson and Lee with a fighting chance in the Famous Grouse Handicap Hurdle over two-and-a-half miles.

A high-class stayer on the Flat, as he proved when dead-heating for first place in the Doncaster Cup in September, Kasthari - a winning novice hurdler last winter - has the class to go well here off what looks a lenient mark.

Also worth noting at Ayr is Dunnet Head in the Kidzplay National Hunt Flat Race.

Len Lungo's gelding, winner of his only race last season, is held in very high regard and is strongly fancied to make it two-from-two.

At Market Rasen, Richard Guest will have high hopes of scoring with Magico in the Racing UK on Channel 432 Novices' Hurdle.

The six-year-old has finished in the frame in both his outings this term, most recently at Aintree. Normal progression should make him hard to beat tomorrow.

Sue Smith has her Bingley team firing on all cylinders and Smiths Landing can add his name to the stable's scoresheet by winning the Handsome Cabs Novices' Chase.

Also worthy of attention is the useful Luneray, who makes the long journey from Paul Nicholls's Somerset yard to contest the Ei Ei Handicap Chase.

This race is named after the popular course specialist, trained locally by Michael Chapman, who was tragically fatally injured in a fall at Market Rasen earlier this year.
