AS a player Chris Brass has always given 100 per cent effort on the field and no doubt as manager.
His only mistake that I can see was the poor acquisition of former friends and ex-playing colleagues.
Paul Groves in his day was a good player and, yes, it is nice to have experience in the camp but the fastest I have seen him run was when he was substituted on Saturday.
The rest of the squad have let themselves and Brass down. If they had shown as much commitment on the pitch as Chris Brass did York would not be in the position that they are now facing.
No one else can stand up and say that they give 100 per cent and show the physical pain as Chris Brass's face has shown in the past home games.
He always acknowledged the supporters at the end of every match. How many other players had the guts to perform that task, week in week out?
Chris Brass will always stay true and give his best to the City.
