POCKLINGTON moved into the last 32 of the Powergen Vase with a 19-0 home victory over Northallerton.
They were outplayed by the Northallerton pack, but had the better firepower in the backs.
And though Northallerton spent most of the first half in Pock territory, the home side were able to strike from deep to record two early tries.
On the first occasion they worked the ball wide and spun it right for winger Henry Mitchell to dive over in the corner.
Pock continued to spend most of time on the defensive but still had the ability to break out and a 12-man move combining both forwards and backs ended with scrum-half Sam Rees darting over for Kevin Bowling to convert.
Pocklington coach Guy Hope made dangerous runs either side of half-time but his side had to wait until the hour mark when they launched a well constructed midfield move that put centre Harry Allen under the posts for Bowling to convert.
Both sides had chances in the last quarter but remained in the driving seat to go through into the next round.
