LIKE many local residents, I use Straylands Grove to access Malton Road. There is no such thing as a rat-run. Straylands Grove was built for use by all, not just for members of the "not in my back garden brigade".
During the many years I have used this route, I am unaware of any major accidents. Access to Malton Road continues to be relatively easy, given a little patience.
I trust there will be many objections lodged with City of York Council to this proposal.
