It was nice to see Lorraine Chase's picture in Monday's Evening Press on her visit to Oaklands School.
Can it really be 27 years since she first came to prominence in a television commercial?
A small point, the advertisement referred to was not shot at "Luton Airport," that phrase was a line spoken by Lorraine, in a broad Cockney accent, while standing on a sunny balcony abroad. I assume that your reporter is too young to remember the advert, and consequently got the facts askew.
Not as big a howler as Chris Titley's 144 old pennies to the pound some time ago! Will he ever be able to forget it?
