Hannah Dagleish scored on her debut for York City Ladies' first team, netting the second in the 2-0 Yorkshire and Humberside League premier division win at Grimsby Town.
Both goals came in the first half, Kelly Chesterton thumping home the first before setting up Dagleish to get the second.
City goalkeeper Bev Dodd had earlier saved a controversial penalty to keep a clean sheet, but City otherwise dominated, with Jenny Garnett hitting the inside of a post.
Vicky Woodley bagged a brace as City Ladies reserves beat Doncaster Parklands 3-2 in division one East.
Doncaster led 1-0 and 2-1 but Woodley levelled both times and, after Jo Gardiner and player of the match Emily Anniballi both cleared off the line, Nic Whelan helped to set up Justine Blackburn to fire in the winner five minutes from time.
