It seems to be a fashionable bandwagon to jump on, so I should like to complain about the Royal Mail.

We had a regular, punctual postman for several months. He delivered badly addressed items to the correct destination.

If I sent back a letter for a former resident, I never got another letter again in that name.

Because I run a small business from home I relied on my mail at a certain time.

He knew the needs and requirements of all of us on his round, always had time for a chat and a cuppa, and did well with Christmas tips.

Now he's been replaced by someone who isn't even wearing a uniform.

How many people have given a tip who live on East Parade, Melrosegate, Ninth/Third/Second and First Avenue, and Eastbourne Grove? May we please have our postman back? We all miss him and the stability of a regular postie.

Mrs C Scotton,

Loud Events Music,

East Parade, York.
