My wife and I strongly resent the attempt by St Peter's School to close the footpath through their grounds.
Their next aim will be to close the path connecting Queen Anne's Road to Westminster Road and the path from Westminster Road to the river. The path that starts off as Marygate Lane and goes across Water End is on the line of an old Roman road which ran parallel with Bootham and Clifton. It should remain as such.
