I WAS very sorry to read the letter from A Broomhead asking people to stop moaning about speeding traffic (December 17).
The residents of Tang Hall Lane, Fourth Avenue and Bad Bargain Lane have every right to moan if cars speed along the roads outside their homes and put people at risk. These are built-up residential areas and there are three schools in the vicinity.
Children have to use these roads to get to their schools. Speed limits are set for a very good reason - to save lives. Car drivers should always keep below the appropriate speed limit set for a road for their own safety and the safety of others.
Yes, drive on the roads but do so at a speed that ensures everyone living in this neighbourhood is safe.
