York Acorn ARL Club's U14s were far too strong for city rivals Heworth as they romped to a 78-0 win.

Nathan Potter led the way with a hat-trick while Dave Magson, Billy Clint and James Bromwich all notched doubles and Danny Lee, Kyle Illingworth, Reece Bell and Harry Gunnell also crossed.

Heworth never let their heads drop and tried to attack but Acorn's resolute defence was too much. Man of the match was Sam Hann.

New Earswick All Blacks U13s turned round a slow start to beat Allerton Bywater 40-12.

Allerton Bywater scored early and New Earswick needed a lift from Liam Haxby, who scored their first try with a dramatic dive, to get them on their way.

More New Earswick touchdowns followed from Haxby, through Tomas Francis, Josh Cunningham-Evans, man of the match Craig Richardson and top tackler Chris Chaplin, with Dan Perkins adding goals. The choice as the most improved player went to Martyn Platt.

Ryan Gallacher scored a hat-trick but could not prevent York Acorn U11s losing 24-16 to Doncaster Toll Bar.

Karl Read also crossed as Acorn fought back from two tries down to level by the break.

The young Acorn side fought back again after going behind early in the second half but Donny had a bit extra at the end to win it. Liam Mosey and Dean Stannard were Acorn's top players.
