Yet another complaint about cyclists, this time from A Logan.
Sadly, it was justified. But what about the lack of police interest?
You published a letter earlier this year about police ignoring a cyclist who flouted the footstreet law.
I recently saw a youth cycling, unchecked, along the crowded Ouse Bridge pavement in full view of three fluorescently-dressed police officers standing on the opposite - but easily accessible - side and past a temporarily-stopped police van.
This sends the wrong message. Why can't they just spare a minute to tell the bothersome youth to get off?
You recently published a reply from City of York Council about its new powers to deal with such nuisances.
But now, and after, that takes effect it would be nice to see the guardians of the law taking action as they do their city centre foot-patrols. A dedicated crackdown would be even better.
I encounter this problem every lunch hour in the city centre after parking my bike.
