ONCE again we see a failed politician leaving this Government in disgrace only to be described by his mentor as a man of the highest honour and integrity.
He has left behind him a series of failed policies; law and order, immigration and asylum to name but a few. He has been a serial adulterer and when he was dropped by his lover has done everything in his power to berate her and her family.
He issued her with a travel document with no right to do so and gave Mr Blair's standard answer that he created on the 45 minutes weapons of mass destruction: "Nobody told me that".
He has been found out on the visa application issue and has had to resign, at last
If these facts had not come to light we can only guess what other misdeeds may have taken place.
But you can be assured that, like Peter Mandelson and a rubber ball, Mr Blair will make sure David Blunkett bounces back.
