NATALIE McDowell is the driving force behind a nail and beauty spa in York which is about to celebrate its first anniversary with a tidy profit in the bank.
After renting a top floor of a city centre hair salon for about a year, Natalie decided it was time to branch out on her own.
Just Bliss Nail And Beauty Spa in Micklegate was born, but not before a carefully planned re-fit of what was previously Micklegate Pottery.
She armed herself with a business plan incorporating all the start-up costs and timescales, as well as her goals for the first year of trade.
"I am on track to make profit within my first year of trading at these premises.
"This has given me great confidence and I am already setting targets for the next two years."
Natalie manages three employees at the salon.
