Second-placed Hemingbrough received a jolt to their division three promotion aspirations after they were held to a 2-2 draw at lowly Bishop Wilton.

Danny Smith, with his ninth goal of the season, put Brough in the lead inside three minutes. But two minutes later they gave away a needless penalty which was converted by Adrian Stanforth. Dave Burrows put the home side ahead but they were denied only their second win of the season with a Richard Singh equaliser.

Leaders Sheriff Hutton are now five points clear after beating LNER Builders 5-0 with goals from Steve Jefferson, Kevin Butler (2) Dale Phillips and the pick of the bunch from Dave Hartas.

Two other sides also went 'nap'.

Rawcliffe hit five without reply at home to Heworth with Dale Brandon warming up for next week's FA Cup tie collecting his first hat-trick of the season. The other goals were shared by his brother, Shane, and Terry Taylor.

Moor Lane, who had conceded only seven goals in their last ten games, were hit for five by rampant York RI.

Nick Hutchinson led the way with his eighth hat-trick of the season with Lee Dutton and Mathew Cook each chipping in with a goal. Gareth Akers scored Moor Lane's consolation.

Leeper Hare reserve division reports will appear later in the week.
