I was very surprised to hear of the plans to open Terry Avenue to taxis during Ascot week, and would love to know what "extensive" consultations Peter Evely carried out.
As a resident of Terry Street I would certainly be affected by this bike ban proposal but wasn't asked for my views.
I don't take much comfort from knowing that a speed limit of 20 mph would apply, because taxi drivers usually disregard such restrictions.
