I HAVE been informed that "the council's executive member advisory panel - planning and transport" will be considering the issue of the proposed rising bollard in Straylands Grove on Wednesday, April 6 at 5pm, and that I may attend the meeting if I wish to "observe the proceedings".
Am I being cynical when I suspect that the many objectors to the bollard are being actively discouraged from attending the meeting by the timing - many people will still be at work at 5pm - and by the fact that the letter makes no mention of the venue?
