I FEAR it is Mick Snowden that has the wrong idea about ID cards (March 25).
The Government treats us all as potential criminals by introducing these draconian measures and, as a free citizen of the UK, I object most strongly to having to carry identification papers.
Having to "show your papers" or "produce your pass" is symptomatic of a totalitarian regime, not a democratic state.
I am fearful of where this Government is taking us.
These "pass laws" are reason enough to vote for any political party or candidate other than New Labour in the forthcoming General Election.
