POCKLINGTON RUFC played some of their best rugby of the season as they beat Old Brodlieans 31-14 at Percy Road.
They blew their opponents away with some excellent support play in the early stages. Pock's back row was at the heart of the display with flankers Steve Wilcock and Rob Shingler nailing Brods with some crunching tackles whenever the visitors tried to progress, while No 8 Scott Littlefair helped himself to two tries with powerful bursts.
As forwards and backs combined in style, centres Guy Hope and Harry Allen also grabbed a try apiece, while fly-half Kevin Bowling kicked two conversions.
At 24-0 early in the second half, Pocklington were out of sight but they took their foot off the gas and led Brods back into it with two converted tries.
However, Pocklington had the final say with another powerful attack which saw replacement prop Perry Hardy blast over with Bowling completing the scoring with his third conversion.
