I READ with interest your article 'Will the nation still rejoice?' (February 11) and would like to comment as an American who loves England, and especially York, which we visit for six to eight weeks every other year.

I blame Charles and Camilla for the death of Princess Diana. If Charles had been the husband he should have been, and if Camilla had stayed away from Charles, Diana would still be alive.

Because Charles and Camilla have been living together and committed adultery before Diana's death, I think they should marry, but quietly - and I cannot see how the Archbishop of Canterbury could possibly "bless" that marriage.

I for one will not buy a single item reflecting the marriage. If anyone should give me a souvenir I shall throw it on the ground to break in a million pieces.

Diana will always be queen in our hearts. I know I should forgive Charles and Camilla for their part in Diana's death because the bible says so, but I find it impossible. The thought of both of them makes me sick.
