Newmarket trainer Mark Wallace has supplemented Benbaun for the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot at York next Tuesday.
The four-year-old, added to the field at a cost of £12,000, is among 23 horses confirmed for the Group Two dash over five furlongs.
Benbaun was second to The Trader in the Group Two Prix du Gros-Chene at Chantilly last Sunday.
The race is the first of two British legs, both at Royal Ascot at York, in the Global Sprint Challenge.
Var, who defeated The Tatling in the Prix de l'Abbaye last October, is on course for the race after finishing fifth to Celtic Mill in the Temple Stakes at Sandown on his seasonal debut.
"He'll run in the King's Stand and then hopefully we'll be back to top form and he'll be back there on Saturday for the Golden Jubilee," said trainer Clive Brittain.
The United States are set to be represented by Mighty Beau, while the sole entry from France is Chineur.
