A CHARITY Ascot fashion show has raised hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

The event, held at the Next Generation health club in Hull Road, York, was attended by around 100 guests who were welcomed with champagne and canaps and shown Ascot themed fashions from a range of top designers.

Outfits were modelled by staff at the club and professional models. In total the night, which was organised with help from Browns of York, raised around £500.

John Jamieson, of Next Generation Clubs, said "We are always happy to support such a worthy cause and with Ascot just a few days away this was an opportunity too good to be missed.

"The team at Macmillan do an amazing job and I'm sure the money we raised will go towards making a real difference to people living with cancer

"We would like to thank everyone involved all our guests who donated so generously."
