FED UP with stumbling from one fashion faux pas to the next, with a wardrobe in dire need of a workout?
York's answer to TV's Trinny and Susannah are waiting in the wings to guide you through your dilemmas, with tips aplenty for those still searching for the ultimate outfit to stand out from the crowd at Royal Ascot.
Personal shoppers Debbie Hurworth and Carol Allen are old hands at choosing the right garments to make fat arms look thinner, small breasts seem fuller and ways to conceal wobbly bums and tums.
As well as offering advice on what to wear for Royal Ascot at York, the duo, of Browns and Fenwick department stores in York respectively, have helped launch a new guide to lift the lid on the city's shopping secrets.
The guide showcases five "routes to shopping heaven", and features more than 40 independents unique to the city, along with the best of York's department stores.
Gillian Cruddas, York Tourism Bureau chief executive, said: "We're delighted that Debbie and Carol are offering their support by launching our new guide. Their personal shopping service is a great advantage for the city and we hope they'll be just as popular as the real life Trinny and Susannah."
Five Routes To Shopping Heaven is available from the De Grey Rooms Tourist Information Centre.
