THE recommended walking route to York Racecourse shown in your paper shows the route crossing the river just south of the River Foss (June 10). This shows real enterprise on behalf of the council.
I assume a Bailey Bridge will be erected over this weekend or maybe a bridge of boats, or perhaps the water taxi service will be acting as an impromptu ferry.
There definitely isn't a bridge there now.
