REFERENCE - David R Fairey's letter (June 9).
While I think David's suggestion of using cardboard boxes for supermarket shopping is a good idea to a certain extent, I really do not think there would be sufficient boxes to go round.
Using large paid-for bags and cardboard boxes would be beneficial to the environment, instead of free plastic bags.
