Seeing so many York fans at London was absolutely fantastic and underlines how tremendous they have been all season.

I just want to give them a bit of a pat on the back. I thought it was outstanding again on Sunday the amount of people who had travelled down.

London is a shocking place to get to but they showed up and waited on afterwards to meet the lads. It's really impressive the way they support the team and are so passionate about the club.

The home support has been speaking for itself and we top the crowd figures in NL2 every week. But the away support is just amazing and it gives the team a massive lift.

At most of the games we go to, our fans outnumber the home support so it's near enough like a home game.

They are always very vocal, and even more so when the lads are winning. We have got some tough games coming up in the next few weeks against Workington, Swinton and Keighley so it would be great to carry on the good work.

People raised a few eyebrows when Gateshead beat Swinton 57-32 away on Sunday but I think Gateshead Thunder have not been getting the results that they probably should have been.

They have a lot of quality players in the team and they are a big, strong, tough team to beat.

Their defeat of Swinton gives our result up there a bit more credibility and the two points we got even more deserved.

They have got a lot of overseas players which gives them a lot of experience and they travelled to Swinton and turned them over on their own doorstep which is no easy feat.

Some people have been quite shocked by some of the scorelines in the last few weeks but I haven't been surprised by any of the results in this league.

Dewsbury got beat at home by Sheffield but they turned it around with a good win this weekend at Keighley.

Blackpool Panthers are still hanging around at the bottom of the table but only after they ended up getting beat by a drop goal by Hunslet.

There are eight games gone and ten to go but it's definitely not a one-horse race. There are more things to happen in this season yet.

We are up at Workington next which is going to be a real tough game so it's definitely not cut and dried at the moment.

Personally I think it could be round 18 before the eventual winners of the competition are confirmed, it really could be that tight.

It's great that a lot of the teams are finding form at the moment, it keeps everybody on their toes, including the York team and the staff.

All the teams, including York, have been beaten at least once so it shows it can be done.

Again it comes down to finding that consistency within the team which we have had in the last few weeks and it does make a difference.
