IT will start cool, but Royal Ascot at York will be hotting up as the week goes on.
The five-day weather forecast from the Met Office predicts scorching temperatures towards the end of the week.
While it will be sunny, with a smattering of cloud on Tuesday and Wednesday, the temperature will hover around 18C (64F).
But on Ladies' Day and Friday, it will be sunshine all the way with temperatures of 22C (72F) and 24C (75F) respectively.
Today's rain should disappear in time for the five-day festival of racing.
