Azamour can spoil the Ouija Board comeback party on Knavesmire tomorrow by clinching the Prince of Wales's Stakes for the formidable Irish partnership of trainer John Oxx and jockey Michael Kinane.

All eyes will be Ouija Board in this £350,000 Group 1 showpiece race as the Ed Dunlop-trained filly returns to action following a stupendous campaign in 2004 when she clinched the English-Irish Oaks double and the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf.

That she is a superbly-talented filly, there is no doubt, but Dunlop has made no secret of the fact that he feels Ouija Board, on whom Jamie Spencer takes over from Kieren Fallon, will benefit from this first outing of the year.

Fallon is retained by his Coolmore bosses to ride Ace for Aidan O'Brien.

Conversely, Azamour has no excuses on the same score, having already tucked a race under his belt, a luckless fourth-placed effort in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at The Curragh last month, where he was continually denied a clear run in the closing stages.

A top-class colt last season, Azamour has all the credentials required to win this crackerjack of a race and he is awarded the nap vote.

Sheriff Hutton trainer Mick Easterby has a strong contender in the Queen Mary Stakes in Bow Bridge, a triple-winner already this season and also a previous winner on Knavesmire.

Her course success came in Listed company last month when she showed plenty of courage to gain a slender success in the hands of Dale Gibson, who takes the mount again.

Even more is required from Bow Bridge tomorrow, but there could well be more from her as she bids to provide Easterby, one of the most colourful characters in racing, with success.

Easterby will also be strongly represented in the Royal Hunt Cup with Blue Spinnaker, but Richard Fahey may be the victor here with Kings Point, the mount of Paul Hanagan.

A close-up third - one place behind Blue Spinnaker on this course last month - Kings Point has been trained very much with this race in mind and he should now be cherry-ripe after two outings this season. Tomorrow's trip of a mile will suit him much better than the seven furlongs he ran in his last race.

In the Jersey Stakes, a thrilling start to the programme, my vote goes to Irish challenger Luas Line. David Wachman's filly ran a cracker last time when a close-up third in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

Soviet Song, whose victories last year, included a beating of Attraction at Newmarket, has the class to win the Windsor Forest Stakes, her only negative being the lack of an outing this season.

Johnny Murtagh, who knows her well, rides the James Fanshawe-trained five-year-old.

The Sandringham Handicap over seven furlongs closes the card on day two, and Mark Johnston has good prospects with Nufoos, who deserves to get her head in front.

Runner-up on her last two starts in Listed and Group 3 company, Nufoos will relish the opportunity of returning to this trip after chasing home the smart Camacho over six furlongs at Haydock last time. Richard Hills has the mount.
