Queen's Lodge is a topical tip at Redcar tomorrow in the feature race on the card.

Trained at Kennythorpe, near Malton, by John Wainwright, the five-year-old goes for the £20,000 Pertemps Employment Alliance Handicap over six furlongs with Tony Hamilton in the saddle.

Hamilton was on board Queen's Lodge when she made a remarkable winning debut for Wainwright at Doncaster on Derby Day, overcoming an absence of almost three years to come out on top in a photo-finish.

Previously trained by Luca Cumani, Queen's Lodge, considered talented enough to contest Group-race company as a juvenile, is an interesting addition to the Wainwright string. It would come as no surprise to see her follow-up tomorrow.

Battledress looks to have a good opportunity of opening his account in the Kew Palace Maiden Stakes.

In the Carlsberg Redcar Straight-Mile Championship Handicap (Qualifier), Jubilee Street should go well for North Yorkshire trainer Ann Duffield.

Winner of two of his last four races, and runner-up in the other two, Jubilee Street failed by a whisker at Beverley last week after making a tardy start and being forced to thread his way through the field. Clearly in great heart, he can gain compensation here with smart apprentice Saleem Golam again taking the mount.

Also worth noting at Redcar are the Howard Johnson-trained sprinting juvenile Beverley Hills (2.10), and in-form stayer Considine (2.45), both to be ridden by Robert Winston.

Friday's tips:

Redcar

2.10 Beverley Hills, 2.45 Considine, 3.20 Desert Stream, 3.55 Queen's Lodge, 4.30 Jubilee Street, 5.05 The Prince, 5.35 Kool Ovation

Tomorrow's other race meetings are at Royal Ascot at York (afternoon, Flat), Ayr (afternoon, Flat), Goodwood (evening, Flat) and Newmarket (evening, Flat).
