ROB Murray took top honours as an amazing 543 runs were scored at Kelfield in the Guy Mitchell Trophy.

The hosts batted first and had centurion Steve Schofield (107) and Neil Atkinson (56) on song as they totalled 271-4 against Stillingfleet.

However, 'Fleet opener Murray took advantage of an understrength attack and hammered 157no to steer his side to a four-wicket win.

Second division side Copmanthorpe hammered higher-ranked opponents British Sugar.

Martin Hillyard (46) and Charles Mitton (68) dominated a Cop total of 180-9, Gary Iqbal taking four wickets. Mark Bellerby was the only Sugar scorer of note with 38 out of 118 all out. Adam Moseley and Darren Hughes shared six wickets.

Fulfordgate posted an excellent 197-8 but it wasn't enough against Westow. Mal Pepper top-scored with 49no to go along with the 35 extras, while all-rounder Elliott Taylor took four wickets. Taylor (41) then returned to help opener Neil Earle (82no) hit their objective by five wickets.

Skipper Andy Spence hit 115no as Bishopthorpe II walked over Sheriff Hutton in the Prendergast Memorial Trophy.

Bishopthorpe II totalled 195-3, which was far too much for Sheriff, who ended on 105-6.

Spence's effort was surpassed, however, by Huntington's Stuart Ross.

Thorpe Willoughby II thought a score of 187-6 was good against Huntington's, Kevin Rich top-scoring with 65.

But Ross had other ideas as his brilliant 124no, together with Danny Latimer's 47 (146 partnership), saw Huntington home by six wickets.

Melbourne hit 163-7 against Woodhouse Grange. Matt Beevers held the innings together with 62no, while Pete Nolton took 4-36. However, the old and new combined to gain a ten-wicket win for Grange. Doug Bartle, hit 78no and 12-year-old Chris Bilton 59no.

Ovington II were bowled out for 149 against Burn II, Steve Goldsborough and Richard Miller each taking three wickets. Graham Stansfield then hit 71no as Burn won by six wickets.

Hirst United proved too strong for Copmanthorpe II. Cop hit 131-9, Nathanial Reeson claiming 5-32, but Stuart Bennett then hit 43 as Hirst won by seven wickets.

Pocklington hit 235-6 against Malton and Old Malton's second string. Mal Harrison hit 65 and Graham Forsdyke 52. Nick Forsdyke then bagged 3-24 for Pock as Malton were all out for 150.
