THE Government will not be pleased with the latest poll from ICM on support for ID cards. It has dropped from 80 per cent to 55 per cent in just six months, and I wager that this number will keep dropping as the proposed plans become clearer.
If the Government goes ahead with its plans in the face of such public opposition it will become Labour's poll tax.
I urge everyone who is against the draconian plans to write to their MP asking them to vote against the Bill going through Parliament.
