FOUR businessmen from York and North Yorkshire will find out on Tuesday whether they have been named as winners in the Ernst & Young's North region Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards.
The four finalists are Kevin Hollinrake who co-founded the North and West Yorkshire property services company Hunters; Victor Buchanan, managing director of Bioflame, the alternative energy generating group based in Pickering; and Warren Hobden and Chris Matson, joint chief executives of MEDCOM, the York company they set up to supply online teaching resources to the surgical profession.
The Ernst & Young awards celebrate the achievements of outstanding entrepreneurs in the region and the winners will be announced at a ceremony at Leeds Town Hall.
The regional winners will then go forward to a national final in London in October, and compete for a place at the international stage in Monte Carlo the following spring.
Joanna Robson, head of entrepreneurial growth markets for Ernst & Young in Yorkshire, said: "We were extremely impressed by the high standard of this year's entries, which is a real testimony to the wealth of talent and enterprise in the region."
