AS a former regimental sergeant major of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards, I cringed when I read your report about Trooping The Colour. The Colour you referred to was the Queen's Colour and not the flag of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards (June 11).
It may be of interest to readers to know that the Iraq Battle Honour was been displayed on the Queen's Colour for the first time.
